Nutella addiction… is there a group for this??

Hello, my name is Grammy and I’m a Nutella addict. I was clean for 49 years and then a fellow addict friend hooked me up. She’ll be my roommate at the Rehab…

Here’s my favorite recipe to feed my addiction…

NO BAKE  NUTELLA ADDICTION BARS WITH SEA SALT

FOR THE CRUST:

  • 2 cups Confectioner’s Sugar
  • 3/4  cups Peanut Butter
  •  2/3 cups waffle cone crumbs (about 4 large waffle bowls, or about 6 waffle cones or small bowls)
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, melted

 FOR THE TOPPING:

  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4  cups Peanut Butter
  • 1/2  cups Nutella

1 teaspoon Flaky Sea Salt

 

 

 

 

 

 

Put the waffle cones/bowls in the food processor and process until it’s fine crumbs. 

Melt the butter and put in a large bowl, add the 3/4 cup peanut butter and mix by hand until its smooth.  Add  the powdered sugar and waffle crumbs, mix until combined. (This is kinda like cutting shortening into flour for a pie crust, it will have that same consistency)

Press crumbs firmly into a 9 inch square pan lined with foil.

( I would have taken pictures of this process but it’s hard to take pictures while simultaneously stirring  the mixture with one hand and eating Nutella by the spoonful with the other…)

Next, put the Nutella,  the chocolate chips and remaining peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl and nuke until melted.  (if you ate the whole jar while mixing the crumbs, go to the store and buy 2 more jars and then continue with the recipe. It’s ok. No one will judge you)  Stir until smooth.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mmmmmmmm….

Pour the chocolate mixture  onto the crumbs and spread evenly.  (If you feel compelled to eat this mixture with a spoon instead, it’s ok. No one will judge you. Make another batch and proceed)

Then sprinkle with the sea salt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mmmmmm…..

Pop the pan in the fridge for at least 2 hours. (If you get the shakes, go ahead and eat a couple spoonfuls of straight Nutella while you wait. It’s ok. No one will judge you)

When its chilled and firm, remove from fridge and lift bars out of pan using the edges of the foil. (I didn’t take pictures of this step because I skipped it and went straight to eating the whole pan, in my head it looked like one large bar.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Eat 2-3 bars every 4 hours to avoid withdrawals…
